Expanding Aston Martin into the mid-engine supercar sector, Valhalla harnesses technology inspired by the Aston Martin Valkyrie and infused with Formula 1® technologies. A supercar with hypercar rivalling performance, Valhalla is Aston Martin's first-ever plug-in hybrid paired with the first application of a flat-plane crank 4.0-litre Twin Turbo V8 engine.

The internal combustion engine is paired with three electric motors, two on the front axle and one integrated into the all new and fully bespoke dual clutch transmission, a further first for the brand.

ENGINE
When One Engine isn't Enough

Valhalla is fitted with a bespoke 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine with flat plane crankshaft. A dry sump lubrication system ensures the lowest possible mounting position and optimum oil circulation control under high lateral and longitudinal forces, typically experienced on a racetrack.

Valhalla features Formula 1® style push-rod front suspension with inboard mounted springs and electronic adaptive dampers. This reduces unsprung mass and provides highly efficient packaging within the front of the vehicle. The rear chassis uses a multi- link suspension design, with electronic adaptive damper units providing exceptional performance on road and track.

POWERTRAIN
Not Just Talking the Torque

The front twin Electric Drive Unit (EDU) compromises of two independent electric motors (eMotor) with individual inverters and gearboxes. Input from high voltage (HV) battery flows into the inverter, depending on accelerator application, to control the level of torque that is provided to the EDU. Based on the current input, the electric motors transfer torque to an output shaft on the EDU. Through a series of reduction gears the EDU delivers the required torque and speed to the wheel up to a maximum electric motor speed of 19,000 rpm, which translates to a vehicle speed of over 350kph.

The instrument panel features a lightweight design and structure with a carbon cross brace design detail that runs across the cabin, flowing elegantly into the door panels. Integration of display screens follows a lightweight philosophy with no extraneous mounting structure adding weight.
